Movement Playground Gaga Class
Mon 1 July @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm BSTFree
Gaga is a movement approach which offers an opportunity to connect to the body and imagination while enjoying the pleasure of moving in a welcoming, accepting atmosphere. As part of the Movement Playground programme, Adi Weinberg, an Israeli-born, Warsaw-based dancer and choreographer, is offering a special, one-off Gaga class for people who experience difficulty breathing and their families and carers. Participants will be guided by a series of evocative instructions that invite them to find their own ways of moving and to become aware of their sensations.
The class is free and open to anyone who experiences breathlessness plus family and friends.
Adi was an apprentice at Vertigo Dance Company and performed around the world while working with numerous choreographers and institutions including Fresco Dance Company, the Israeli Opera and the Polish National Opera. Since 2014, she has been working as a choreographer staging her creations in festivals such as Machol Shalem International Dance Week, Tel Aviv Dance Festival, MAAT, MSTT or KRoki festivals among others. Adi is a certified Gaga teacher, Shiatsu therapist, Ayurveda-Seed masseur and a Pilates instructor. She has worked with diverse groups of people of different ages and abilities including people living with Parkinson’s disease.
