Breathing Space weaving workshops
Mon 10 June @ 11:00 am - Fri 21 June @ 1:00 pm BST
You are invited to explore your breathing and relationships with the world through the medium of wicker. Join artist Matthew Docherty and researchers from the Life of Breath project for willow weaving throughout the month of June at Durham Botanical Gardens. Part of Summer in The City 2019, the Durham Arts Festival.
Together, we will learn a variety of weaving techniques and get creative sculpting with wicker, while considering the role of breath in our life. Drop in to make a smaller sculpture or come to as many sessions as you like over the month to create a larger, more detailed piece. All ages are welcome and no previous experience is necessary.
Place: Durham Botanic Gardens, Shine: @ the Greenhouse Lawn (the grassy area outside the greenhouses) Rain @ the Glasshouse (out the back of the greenhouse)
Tickets available via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/breathing-space-tickets-63112074915
